INSTRUCTORS

LESSONS

Wolfden's head coach, Mary De Wolfe, is a certified instructor with 30 years of coaching experience. Mary is committed to providing high-quality, yet also fun and friendly, instruction to the equestrian community of the area.

At Wolfden, both private and group lessons run year-round with winter and evening classes taking place in our indoor arena. In the summer, many or our lessons are taught in our various outdoor rings and sometimes include group hacks.

Most lessons are taught in small groups and we aim to match participants by both age and skill level wherever possible. We offer a good selection of well-trained ponies and horses for lesson use, and our staff will guide you from novice to advanced rider with care and expertise.

Most lessons are approximately an hour in length, and students should allow enough time to groom their horses before and after their lessons, and to clean and put away their take and equipment afterwords.

Other activities throughout the year include scheduled practice rides, schooling shows, summer camps, evening and all-day clinics, and theory and horsemanship lessons. School groups are also welcome for lessons in basic riding and horsemanship skills.

Please contact us for rates and details.

EQUIPMENT

Each rider needs a properly fitted riding helmet and boots with a small heel. This equipment is essential, and each rider should come equipped with their own gear. Breeches and other gear are optional.
